After work tonight I went for another run with Alyssa. For the first time we ran the 6km loop. I’ve been trying to talk her into this a few times, and tonight she wasn’t sure as she had done the beep test again at school today. So, we started off and when we got to the intersection where we had to decide between the 4.5km loop we’d done before, or the 6km loop, she agreed to try the 6km distance for the first time. She managed it fairly easily I’m happy to say. I stopped for a quick calf stretch at the 2km & 4km mark, and got the impression she would have been quite happy to keep going. We ended up doing 6.3km at an average pace of 5:14 min/km.
My right knee is a little niggly tonight and there is a touch of swelling.
