Well I’m back from Burnie after a pleasant two-day business trip. It was one of those trips where you feel like you’ve been successful, but still came away with more questions and problems to solve than you arrived with. My new team members down there are a good bunch, and I had a better opportunity to get to know them a little this time. We went out for a team dinner to a beautiful little restaurant called “Muddled”. It was bitterly cold both days, so when we arrived at the restaraunt and saw the team gathered around an open fire with some drinks it was very welcome. I shared a seafood paella for two with one of my new team members and it was scrumptious.
I had to call in to KMart in Burnie this morning to purchase a certain DVD for my son, which shall remain nameless because it is unavailable for sale in Victoria and I’m not sure if I’ve broken the law bringing it in
I did take my running gear, but just didn’t have time to get out for a run this time.
We had the most beautiful view of Melbourne as we flew back in tonight, we flew in along the bay coastline and almost up the Yarra – the city lights were stunning. My flying nerves are definitely getting better, 10 years ago I wouldn’t have even looked out of the window!
Today was Day 3 of Week 3 of the One Hundred Push-Ups challenge and that’s all I did tonight, but it didn’t really feel any easier than the other days when I had ridden or run. Tonight’s program called for 25/19/19/17/max(at least 22) with 120 seconds rest between sets. Again, I managed to do it, but did not manage any more than I had to on the last set. Like John, I noticed that I actually did over 100 pushups in total tonight, but doing 100 in a row stills seems a bit “pie in the sky”.
Good luck to all of you who are heading up to the Gold Coast for the GC Marathon!

Hiya, thanks for stopping by my journal! Just read your 2008 Goals and we have the same weekly calorie burn -woo! Good luck for the 100 push-up challenge, I’m finding it really difficult to motivate myself to keep it up because I end up doing push-ups in training on rest-days… think my muscles aren’t getting a chance to heal and get stronger, bah…
