I realised I owed a few of you some responses to comments from the last couple of days.
Mizfit – NO, there is absolutely no chance of a video of me doing my home cardio circuit ! That would just be much too embarrassing !
Sara – no I’m not doing the ATBIAD as I am doing the Burnie 10 which is on the same day. I was thinking about doing one of the two Kinglake rides that are coming up, but don’t think I’m prepared enough, especially after seeing the elevation profiles !
Jojo – as usual you are right – I do need to get my shin soreness checked out, I will try and be a good boy and do so (if it doesn’t settle down with a bit of rest from running over then next few days).
Sharon – yes, Australia does have some strange place names. Most of them that sound strange to you are probably derived from Aboriginal words.
Mizfit – the weekend just gone was an average one exercise wise, at least I managed to do something both days, but when I see so many of my friends doing their long runs or long rides, I still feel like I’m not doing enough, but I also don’t want to spend multiple hours each day exercising when I need to be spending time with my family and doing other stuff. The other thing that gets me on the weekend is I usually eat a lot more. I only record my weight officially once a week (Saturday mornings), but if I was recording it daily there would be a blip upwards on the graph each weekend, sloping gradually down to the next blip the following weekend. I usually weigh 1 – 2 kg more on a Monday morning than the previous Saturday, then spend the week trying to get rid of it.

Hey
Long time no see, been out of the loop a bit. Sounds like you’ve been keeping busy though. Sorry to hear your shins are sore, I found mine felt a lot better if I was meticulous about stretching my calves.
Good on you for giving the 100 push up challenge a shot. You did well. I didn’t actually get started, so you did a darned sight more than me.

this?

my answer wont be a popular one but Im saying it—and I can since Im not slamming your friends since I dont know em
too often in my world I see friends doing KICK ASS LONG RUNS or bikram yoga for 90 minutes and then a run later that day etc.
these friends? they are running or yogaing or weight training for hours FROM SOMETHING.
they are avoiding that home time (the friends about whom Im thinking are married/families) for a reason.
Miz.

strongly disagree with Mizfit-im actually the happiest ive ever been-and in fact spend quite a bit of time WITH my partner in this pursuit(but not upset with the response-evryone is entitled to an opinion-ad after all it is what makes the wprld go around
)
anyway…….
my response to the same comment would be
…NEVER be swayed by what others are doing…. dance to your own beat…you know what is right for you- there is always a fit -you have tp prioritise- and i think you get the mix pretty right-for you
