Other than Amazon packages, the thing I most like receiving in the mail is my race numbers for events I’ve entered, it’s always a relief to get them – one less thing to worry about, and a concrete reminder of the next goal race.
Well, I got two on the same day today!

That’s the 10km at the Melbourne Marathon (Oct 12th) which I’m doing with Alyssa, and the Burnie 10 (Oct 19th) that I am running with some of my new IT team from Burnie. We are heading down to Tasmania for a weeks holiday on the night of the Melbourne Marathon, so I was particularly glad to get the Burnie 10 package as I was worried it would come in the week before the race and I’d already be down in Tassie.
Anyone else doing Burnie?
This morning I was a lazy bugger. I’d packed the bag last night to go in for a swim, but when the alarm went off at 5am I said to myself, it looks nice outside I’ll sleep until 6am and go for a run instead. Then at 6am, I just rolled over and went back to sleep again. Oh well. Tonight a ride on the bike of just under 21km. Chose a fairly hilly ride so a bit slower than usual, but a hard workout.

Arrgghhh… I feel so guilty. Every year my mum wants me to do the Burnie 10 and every year I have something else on. I’m sure I’ll make it one year.

And the bacon was lean 97% fat free (as always) so a good hit of protein, pity about the salt content.

A well-earned sleep I think! Crikey, I think of myself as an early riser and I’m rarely out of bed before 7am! Laaazy bones :0)
