Boy there are a lot of sickies being taken recently … I had six staff away sick today, add a couple on training and a couple on leave … we were a bit light on. Two more are travelling tomorrow, so hopefully some of the sickies wil be feeling better.
Crap weather again tonight … I thought about going for a run, but not for very long. I ended up just doing a bit of a home workout, but it was really a bit half-hearted. Can any of you give me any tips on how to raise my interest level in the weights /core strength area - I don’t know why I just can’t get all that motivated to do it with any intensity for some reason – and it is so boring. Cardio on the other hand, a run, or a bike ride, just feels so great.
I have another meeting tonight, but fortunately it is only an hour, and at a reasonable time (9:30pm). Hopefully I will be finished just in time to see one of the Geelong boys accept the 2008 Brownlow – I’m hoping Jimmy can go back-to-back.
Hey, Eat’Em, 25 km/hr is a pretty decent pace coming back up the Beach Rd against yesterdays wind! I would be eating your dust methinks!

I find heavy metal or hip-hop makes me lift harder but I can understand that wouldn’t be for everyone! Is there anyway you could attend a resistance type class like circuits? That would hold your interest more as it combines cardio and resistance and isn’t as repetetive as just lifting

Heh…one of the problems with putting kids into daycare is that they pick up every blinging cold and then bring them home. Apparently that is a good thing!

The crappy days help lead us to appreciate the nicer ones…I think?

Hey Andrew, just catching up on everyone’s blogs.
It’s hard to picture all the cold and wind right now as I’m sitting quietly in the sun, enjoying the sunrise up here in Qld.
I have found the only way to enjoy doing all the core and strength stuff is to do a circuit class at the gym. I’ve tried doing it at home but I’m finding the motivation lacking somewhat.
And I agree with Em, make sure all your crew give you a doctor’s certificate.

It is the difficult sessions (physically & mentally) that make you stronger) ….. lol
At least you do corestrength work – I don’t but I soooo should be ….

Hate the sickies too! Just makes you sick, doesn’t it!
There is a bumper sticker “I used up all my sick days, so I called in dead”.
Re: core exercises: Try Belly Dancing. Very fetching.
