A nice, cruisy run with Deb before work this morning. 6.25km @ 5:44 min/km pace, great company, a beautiful morning – luvverly.
After work another sandball game. Approaching the court with a little trepidation as the opposition was 6 young, fit looking blokes, including one very tall one. Keep in mind we (the IT team) are two young ladies, one bloke in his early thirties, and four older gentlemen roughly in my age bracket. Anyway, we blitzed it. Wise heads, teamwork (and a little bit of skill) resulted in a 15-1, 15-9, 15-11 victory. Oftentimes, it is seen as a disadvantage to have females on your team, but that is certainly not the case with our team, they were both excellent tonight.
Tonight was one of those moments when you realise what a great team you work with (and I just sent the other team members an email telling them that) – the cameradarie on the court was palpable – can you tell that I enjoyed it.
So, an excellent start and finish to the work day – the stuff in the middle, well who cares about that anyway!

I would have loved to watch the match, just to see the expression on the the nice fit young men when you beat them (althought they would have been good to watch too!)
