Building …

First thing this morning I met Herb and we went for a bike ride from his place in Essendon down the Moonee Ponds Creek trail, stopped for a coffee in Docklands, then back up via the Maribyrnong River path. All up a very leisurely (19 km/hr) 27km ride and a great start to the day.

The other agenda item for the day was a trip to Ikea to try and purchase some new storage units to help us on our “tidy up” campaign in the living room and Kate’s bedroom. We chose two pieces of furniture, but unfortunately only one was in stock. After a bit of struggle to get it in the car, and a one hour wait on the Tullamarine Freeway due to an accident, we did finally get home and get the thing built. Unusually (for me anyway), it all went together without any pieces being put on the wrong way, and no swearing and cursing. It must have been because Kate was helping me! Anyway, our living room is looking as tidy as I can ever remember right now!

A run was planned for tonight as well, but other things got in the way and it just didn’t happen.
