What a beautiful day!

For those of you in Melbourne, wasn’t the weather today stunning! Here’s hoping that tomorrow is just as nice for all of us running the various events at Melb Marathon Race Number 2009 5kmthe Melbourne Marathon tomorrow. I’m only doing the 5k, but looking forward to the run, and to a little bit of socialising at the Transport afterwards. To all of you running the full marathon – the best of luck for a strong run. I’m not confident about how I’ll go because I haven’t been doing any real speedwork lately, really just looking after my knee. I am going to try to set out at about 4:30 min/km pace, and see how long I can stay thereabouts, hoping to beat my current 5k PB of 23:15 (which equates to 4:39 min/km).

Didn’t post yesterday, but did get out for a bike ride last night, only 22km though.

At weigh in this morning, still on track at 74.5kg.

This morning we took Kate in for her first appointment with physio Katrina at OPSMC to get some treatment and exercises to start strengthening her knee.

Adrienne and I had a beautiful walk with Jackie around the Maribyrnong River path, followed by lunch at Poyntons.

Calling today a rest day in preparation for tomorrow’s race, but did get some exercise out mowing the lawns this afternoon.

Hey, she’s my physio too, lovely lady 🙂

Have a great run tomorrow, that number is pretty big, hope it fits.

Physio’s with beautiful names like “Katrina” are designed to lull us into a false sense of security.

I had a physio when I did my ankle a few years go called “Tiffany”. I think the meaning of Tiffany is “lovely but brutal!” Ankle ‘s good though! 🙂
