Blah!

Today has been a pretty blah! day – you know one of those where pretty much everything just sucks.

Does anyone have a gun, or maybe a grenade launcher, or something I can borrow, I’ve got some neighbours who deserve to be on the receiving end of said weapon. Moving house appears to be firming as a likely outcome – I’m just concerned nobody is going to want to buy next to these idiots. Moving is not something I want to do, they say it is one of the most stressful things you can do, and I’ve only ever bought one house in my life – but it seems like it might be the best course to some quality of life.

Oh, and then there is all that having to deal with real estate agents!

A ride to and from work, including an extra little 8km loop this morning, because when I got to work, an extra little ride just seemed more attractive than riding in through the gate. So, about 34km on the bike today.

What’s the specific problem? Noise eg late parties? Mess? Anything actionable? There’s always
    a. discussion
    b. mediation
    c. police call

They may not be aware they are annoying you. I know how you feel, though: neighbours not too far away have been blithely unaware of their surroundings, but after a couple of police visits, have settled down.

Basic issue is noise from cars and motorbikes, and hooning around in their many hotted up, lowered cars. Discussion/mediation has been tried, they just get abusive and noisier. They are very aware, they do it intentionally.

Got it. Are they renters? Do they live with parents? Do they annoy other neighbours too? Do you know your local state/federal MP? You’ll see there are actually a number of approaches to take.

If I were in power (there’s a scary thought) I would rush through a law that banned real estate agents altogether.

In this day and age, we can take a digital picture, write a description and post it online. We can clean the house, and show people around a couple of times a week. If we (the government) had any common sense, they could make the paperwork simple and easy enough to do without lawyers.

So, why do we have real estate agents? What function do they serve?

What do you call 1000 real estate agents at the bottom of the ocean?

    A good start

    boom tish

I was going to ask the same thing as BB, are they renting?

As for the hooning, I know dibber dobbers wear wet nappies but have you checked out the Crimestoppers website – https://www.vic.crimestoppers.com.au/ you can “dob in a hoon”

Or just sneak out at night and pour sugar in their petrol tanks.

ooooh bad neighbours interfering with sleep, thats just crummy

and it really pinches the nerves to move out because of them but i can understand weighing up the options. i would call the police each time it happens so they can log the complaint- i like the dob in a hoon line
