TL;DR

This post won’t be, mine seem to be getting shorter. Either I’m getting busier, or more boring (nothing to write about).

TL;DR was written in response to some corporate documentation by one of my team, and I’d never seen the abbreviation. So, I used one of my favourite websites, Urban Dictionary, and found that it means “too long; didn’t read” – probably a fair response in this particular instance.

I used Urban Dictionary again today to get the actual meaning of another word I used to describe myself in an email. That word was “pernickity”, which means “pedantic, analy retentive, to pick up small and possibly irrelevant or unimportant details” and is derived from the root “to pick nits”. It is such a perfect word to describe me sometimes! I should really try to be less pernickity, and should probably know better than to send an email that starts off with “This is probably me just being pernickity, but …..“.

Another ride before tea tonight, but decided to stick to a somewhat flatter circuit. Just under 25 km at just under 27 km/hr.

It’s the Gen Y effect. No time for anything except iphones and facebook.
For the record, Gen X was/is the best generation 🙂

And with your ride on the weekend, you should probably think about having a couple of rest days beforehand.

I think that acronym describes a lot of what I read….and write.

I love it. I want to go to the library and stamp it on the front of War and Peace!
