Q1 gone …

I can’t believe that it is the end of the month already, and in fact, that the first quarter of 2010 is behind us. It is certainly true that as you get older the days, weeks, months and years fly by.

Today was another trying day at work, they just don’t seem to be getting any easier. I am certainly looking forward to the four day Easter break.

Just a home workout again tonight including some free weights, some core exercises, stretching & self massage, some exercise bike, some squats and some push-ups.

Monthly Summary
Running: 35 km at 5:45 min/km (YTD 151 km at 5:39 min/km)
Cycling: 513 km at 25.3 kms/hr (YTD 1472 km at 24.9 km/hr)
Other: 12 home workouts (YTD 37)

Obviously another very light month of running, managing a calf injury during the first half of the month, but managing to complete the Run For The Kids uneventfully, albeit slowly. Another strong month on the bike, with the tough Great Ocean Otway Classic completed, and ending up 220km ahead of my 5,000km in 2010 goal. Managing to maintain the frequency of the home workouts is pleasing, and making stretching / massage a key component is helping me manage my knee and calf injuries. Weight has crept up a kilogram or so during the month, but still within the target range.

Goals for April are to increase the running a bit, while maintaining the bike and home workout, and to try and get back into the pool.
