The Big Pineapple

Today we drove to Noosa, via The Big Pineapple. It hasn’t changed at all since the last time I visited in the late 1970’s. My favorite bit was picking, shelling and eating macadamia’s on “the nut tour”, because they are my favorite nut!

We stopped at the Australian Nougat Factory and bought mega amounts of nougat, which is scrumptious. Lunch was had on the Marina at Tewantin, with dinner in Noosavile. In between there was a run, another 6km hilly run, but nowhere near as challenging as the hills in Buderim. Afterwards I sat in the pool (very cold) for a while to ease the muscles a bit, I think it helped.

The B&B we’re staying in (Noosa Valley Manor) is very nice, it is a traditional style B&B where they cook you breakfast and there is shared living area for the guests with a nice fire going etc.

It’s just a shame this lifestyle can’t last forever!

Did the nougat factory have a giant nougat, cos they really should!

This lifestyle is good but it will cause waistline expansion if continued indefinitely!
