Best choice?

Well it seems we finally have a government. With the three choices being Julia Gillard, Tony Abbott or another election, I think we have gotten the best choice. Let’s hope that the wake up call spurs the government into some real positive action and that effective government is truly possible.

I’m reading “The Passage” by Justin Cronin at the moment. It’s a post-apocalyptic tale with virus infected vampire like creatures, which when you put it like that sounds a bit lame, but is a seriously good read so far. Anyone else read it?

Down the pub for a few beers after work tonight to celebrate with another long term colleague who has chosen to retire (lucky bugger), so a bit of elbow-bending was the only exercise for today.

I have a meeting scheduled for midnight tonight, so it’s going to be a long night.

I’m glad to hear that you’re backing the right side and not those nasty liberals (boo hiss), says he who voted for the GST and 10 years of liberal.

It is a relief that TA is not prime minister – for starters, it saves me the $1500 for a one way ticket to the other side of the world.
