Fish and Chips …

Out for tea tonight to celebrate Carly’s birthday, where we had fish and chips and lots of various scrumptious desserts. Not exactly primal, nor low calorie, but very scrumptious all the same. Once in a while can’t hurt, can it?

I did manage to escape from work a few minutes early in order to be able to fit in a short bike ride before we headed out for tea. It was only 44 minutes, but knowing it was going to be a short ride I pushed it a little bit and managed to complete just over 20km (average pace of 27.3 km/hr), which wasn’t too bad considering the windy conditions.

No guilt about leaving work early as I have another late meeting tonight. At least tonights one finishes at midnight rather than starting at midnight like last night.

    I’m glad you got your ride in. Good for you for pushing it. You eat a primal diet? Is that like the paleo diet? And yes, of course, a birthday tea time with fish & chips must be allowed occasionally!

    You seem to have found a really great balance in your life. Lots of exercise and healthy eating with a few splurges on special occasions. Love that!
