Perspective …

Sometimes you need a bit of a shove to realise what is important.

A shitty day at work, feeling a bit sorry for yourself, and then you hear there has been another massive blast at the Pike River coal mine in Greymouth, New Zealand and all the 29 missing underground miners are dead. My condolences and thoughts to all the families and friends.

Puts it all into perspective really. Be grateful for what you have. Life is short.

Out on the bike again tonight, just less than 23 km at just less than 26 km/hr.

I had an awful feeling about that one, all the other recent mine problems have been collapses, as soon as they said explosion on Friday I thought “this is bad”.

    It’s a very sad day 😦

So sad – let’s hope they didn’t suffer.

That is so sad about the miners.

Yes, we have to appreciate what we have. I get to feeling sorry for myself from time to time and I really have to talk myself out of it, most things are not worth wasting one minute of stress over!

    Wow. So sad.

There was a South African in the mine blast as well. It’s horrible, yes, but it’s exactly as you say, Andrew, that perspective is a good thing.
