Chasing Legends

Any of you who are Tour de France fans like me will love Chasing Legends. I ordered the DVD on the internet and watched it the other night, it is brilliant.

Chasing Legends is a feature length documentary following the HTC-Columbia Team through the 2009 Tour De France. It features some historical footage as well, show-casing the history of the Tour, but is primarily the story of  Team HTC-Columbia as they basically try to win as many stages as they can in the 2009 tour. It features Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen extensively, which is enough for me to give it a tick of approval, as they are two of the best sports commentators in any sport in my opinion. There is a lot of glimpses inside the HTC-Columbia team, told through the team directors and the riders themselves (Jens Voigt, George Hincapie, Mark Cavendish and many others are featured).

The film footage is stunning and it is backed by some excellent music. There is no greater sporting event in all of cycling than the Tour de France and Chasing Legends is one of the best films on the Tour that I’ve seen.

Exercise today was just a ride to and from work, only 22km all up.

Hadn’t heard of this, but looks like it’s my sort of DVD – doesn’t look like stock it (yet). If you’ve got any other suggestions for DVD’s books, I’m sure that’d make some interesting reading…
