Is there anything sweeter ?

Is there anything sweeter than watching your team beat Collingwood at the MCG? I don’t think so!

Hehe. I’m not into sports watching, but I know there’s some fascination about it. The only sports event I watch regularly is the games of the German football national team, and then — yeah, I cheer them on and swear and jump up and down in front of the screen. It’s great fun. 😉

One of my favourite football games involves the German team. It was the 1966 World Cup Final, I was only 7 years old at the time and can remember watching it with my Dad. It formed my English Football following as Bobby Moore was the England captain and he became my boyhood hero, and I have followed West Ham United ever since (he played for them). I have a DVD of this game too and still watch it occasionally.

ha, you forgot to mention that also in the final were Geoff Hurst (3 goals) and Martin Peters (1 goal) who both played for WHU

You could do with some Hurst and Peters magic tomorrow. I for one will be hoping the Hammers beat Wigan, makes staying up easier for us!!!

Great win! I thought it was 2008 GF there for a while, with the terrible scoring. My current thoughts for top 4 are Geelong, Collingwood, Hawthorn, Carlton. Those top two to play off.

Anyone snatching defeat from Collingwood is sweet

  4. deege Says:

Well it was a very very cold night and if we had managed to pinch it then it would have been just that – a steal. If you guys had managed to kick straight you would have had us on toast, but a good game all the same.

  5. Bill Says:

I agree with Em, anyone snatching victory from defeat against the Pies is a good thing. This Friday will be a different story (I hope!) 🙂
I follow Forest in the championship so we’ll enjoy a couple of encounters against the Hammers next season …
