Graduation

I was a proud Dad tonight as we attended the 2011 RMIT University graduation ceremony to watch Kate graduate from her Bachelor of Education degree.

I am proud because of her excellent academic achievement, but also because I know what a wonderful teacher she is going to be, and what a wonderful, positive influence she is going to be on so many little lives! She has already got a teaching position for next year and will have a Grade 4 class.

The prize for the best doctorate of the night had to go to the young boy who achieved his doctorate for “Predicting the outcome in Australian Rules Football” and  received it with a Sherrin under his arm!

We spent 3 hours bogged down in traffic along Latrobe St and watched 7 tram pass with no service available. Then was shunted away by Etihad Staff when told no car spaces available. RMIT’s paperwork said 3000 spaces…only 2000 allocated.
You my friend are a lucky one . needless to say we did not attend and plan to make RMIT responsible. Yeah really nice Graduation….
