Today we enjoyed a nice drive up to Heathcote. We walked around the town and had lunch at the Heathcote Estate Winery Cellar Door (a really nice beef and shiraz pie), then drove out to Lake Eppalock (nice to see it full again).

Then back to Heathcote Winery for a coffee and then drove out to the Pink Cliffs. They are a geological formation originally unearthed during gold mining activities in the early 1880s.

And, of course, with Heathcote producing some of the best shiraz varieties in Australia the wine rack is a dozen bottles fuller than it was yesterday, including a few nice bottles that will be left for special occasions.
