2011

My goals for 2011 are listed below.

General Health and Fitness Goals

To continue to eat a sensible and balanced diet, and;
– maintain my weight within the 70-75kg range
Successful again with this goal, but came very close to exceeding 75kg on a few occasions this year.

– maintain my body-fat percentage within the 15-20% range.
Whilst I did nudge over the 20% mark for four weekly weigh-ins during the year, I averaged 18.3% and finished the year at 18.0%. I counting this as a success as I think the accuracy of the scales is enough of an excuse for the few momentary “over 20%” weeks.

To establish a more regular routine with my home strength and stretching workouts;
– maintain a monthly average of 12 workouts and 6 hours per month.
Failed this goal (averaged 9.5 sessions and 3.9 hours) with a massive fade at the end of the year. Need to do better in 2012.

Running Goals

To complete another half marathon.
To run a 10km race “under my age”.
To improve my 5km race PB.
It is a fail on all of these running goals this year I’m afraid.

Cycling Goals

To participate in three organised, group bike events.
Only 2 completed; Amy’s Ride Geelong – Jan 2nd, Great Ocean Otway Classic – Mar 26th

To build up my “5km in 11 minutes” intervals to complete a 50km distance, and complete at least three “30@30” rides.
Managed the 50km “5km in 11 minutes” ride on 26th December, but no “30@30” rides in 2011.

To ride at least four of the Victorian climbs described on The Climbing Cyclist web site.
This is a failure too, none completed.

To ride a virtual Tour de France – complete the same number of kilometres on the bike as the 2010 TdF riders, before the 2011 TdF finishes.

Managed to read a lot more this year, but failed on the reviewing part in the second half of the year.

    I love your ambition. Try to also include in each meal proteins, carbs and fats in each meal and make sure to have proper pre and post meals with your workouts. Good luck
