Merry Christmas and a Hot 100 Update

Merry Christmas to everyone out there! I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas Day with your families and friends.

Christmas Eve for me was another relatively lazy day at work, followed by a 6km run, then drinks and desserts at some friends house. With lots of cheese, smoked salmon, chocolates, nuts and a beautiful pavlova I ate too much!

Christmas Day today we spent at my brother’s place and again ate too much, but it was a very healthy spread with turkey, ham and lots of nice salads. It was the Christmas Pudding and Berry Ice Cream desserts that did me in!

Here’s another lovely photo I took of our darling dog this morning – I loved the way I caught her tongue in mid-flight!

Chris continues to encourage my new addiction to Metallica, giving me a concert DVD today!

Here is my latest update for the Hot 100 challenge.

  1. 2010 exercise goal.
To continue to exercise regularly; – exercise on average at least 6 hours per week – maintain the intensity of exercise and burn an average of > 4,000 calories per week
For the Hot 100 I’m going to stretch the goals a bit; – stay 10% ahead of both measurements by the end of 2010 – succeed in both measurements in 12 out of the 15 weeks between now and the end of 2010
A “green” week, with 8.5 hours of exercise for 6,087 calories, so the biggest week for a while. Averages for the year are 6.3 hours for 4,338 calories, so well on track to meet the 2010 goal, but have definitely missed my Hot 100 stretch goals.
  2. 2010 weight and body fat goal
To continue to eat a sensible and balanced diet, and; – maintain my weight within the 70-75kg range – maintain my body-fat percentage within the 15-20% range.
Last nights, and this weeks Christmas indulgences took a toll on the scales this morning with a 1.8 kg gain (73.8kg), but still well within the target range. Body fat was 17.2% slightly down from previous week.
  3. 2010 bicycle distance goal
    To ride 5,000km in 2010.
Well I can officially tick this one of the yearly goal list as I reached the 5,000km mark on 19th December. 164km cycled this week.

I see you’re getting well acquainted with that camera, too. Cute doggie! And my respect for so many kms cycled in the week, what with Christmas parties going on!
